I get such a great feeling seeing the changes in my clients, as they progress through their individual programs. For instance to witness the physical transformation of a weight loss client as they drop the pounds and tone-up, is amazing. Or observing people who come to have me help relieve their stress with hypnosis; I love seeing their newfound relaxed demeanor and energy as they go through their program.

Examples:

Sometimes it is common for clients not to  notice or feel their changes right away. However; other people in their lives (family, friends and co-workers) see the changes in them, but they may take a little while to see it themselves. It does happen eventually. It really is the absolute best experience when my clients express how they themselves notice their transformations.

In one case, I had a client who recently quit smoking with hypnosis. She noticed how they could suddenly smell things that they never realized they hadn’t smelled during the years they smoked. She went out to eat Dim Sum for the first time as a non-smoker, and was amazed at the aromas she inhaled — something she had totally forgotten from her childhood when she wasn’t a smoker!

Another client who came to me for help with relieving stress in his life, was incredible to watch as he progressed through his program. Each session he acted more and more relaxed; a stark contrast to the fidgety and nervous person I met during our initial meeting. About halfway through his program, he proclaimed that he was seeing huge changes each day, and loved the newly enhanced life he was experiencing!

THE WINNING SHOT

I used to play a lot of tennis; I simply loved it! As a child I remember my instructor teaching me about following-through on my strokes. “Keeping your eye on the ball is very important,” she said, “But if you’re going to hit that ball, you better be prepared to follow through to make a more effective shot!”
This is a good metaphor to use in hypnosis, and also to think about while pursuing goals. Most anyone you talk to will have anywhere from a single to multiple goals they would like to achieve, and it is important to keep your eye on the ball (or in this case, your goal). However the reality is that there are a huge number that do not follow through on their goals.
Following through is very difficult for most people. It’s strange because we certainly don’t have any problem following through on a project at work (for fear we’ll be fired), or at school (for fear we will be failed). However, for some reason, many find following through on their personal goals to be very challenging. We often work harder for others than we do for ourselves.
How do we ensure that we follow through once we have our eye on the ball/goal? There are many things that can be done, including releasing our fear about achieving the goal, ensuring that we actually “want it” and that it’s not a fleeting wish, and of course making sure we devote the time to in fact get the goal done.  There will never be a magic pill that will get your goal for you—you just have to do for yourself.
What you have to know is that there is help available. Whether you want to lose weight, quit smoking, reduce stress, deal with fears, or build your confidence, hypnosis can assist you with reaching your full potential. Hypnosis is painless, fun, relaxing, and can be a very effective tool to help you achieve whatever your goal may be.
Following through is the number one thing you can do to give yourself the best chance at achieving your goal. So keep your eye on your goal, and be sure to follow-through. You just never know—you may end up having a winning shot, and success in reaching your goal!
