FAQ

How does hypnosis work?

Our minds include the subconscious and the conscious. While many of us would like to think that our conscious mind is in control as we go through our daily lives, the reality is that the subconscious mind really does determine much of what we do—including any of our habits. When you are in the relaxed state know as hypnosis, there is a more effective and powerful communication that takes place with the subconscious mind, which is more open to positive suggestions.

How do I know if I am hypnotized?

Hypnosis is in fact just a natural state of mind that we drift in and out of in our everyday lives. One example is getting so involved in a movie you are watching, that you don’t even notice that someone is calling for you. Another instance is the sensation of “drifting” you have when you are lying in bed in the morning in that state between waking and sleeping. Most people cannot actually tell the difference between hypnotized and waking states, and when they are hypnotized they experience a sort of “lightness” and feel very relaxed.

Is hypnosis safe?

Hypnosis is completely safe, and you cannot be made to do anything against your will; it is not possible to get “stuck” in a state of hypnosis. Hypnosis is a positive, relaxing, safe and enjoyable experience.
